Prof. Jan Rabaey has written an article titled "What is 5G? The next generation of wireless, explained" for the Chronicle. He describes in his article how 5G will open new opportunities for augmented reality, virtual reality systems, as well as automation due to the ability to send and receive more data more quickly than previous versions.
